About the DS3800NSWA1A1C
The DS3800NSWA1A1C is manufactured by GE to act as an SW/3 Comparator card for the Mark IV System. The Mark IV, which was created for steam or gas turbine management, is built upon a system of microprocessors with triple-redundant backups on all critical controls/protection parameters. These backups allow workload shift if an electrical issue occurs within one PCB, which minimizes downtime within the entire system. The Mark IV also allows automation of some standard procedures, such as shut down.
The DS3800NSWA1A1C has twelve red light emitting diodes and twelve TP test points. All components are located along the right edge of the board and are individually marked. There are six resistor networks populating the board.
The DS3800NSWA1A1C is built to accept an optional auxiliary board, which is labeled DS3800DSWA. When installed, the DS3800DSWA give the DS3800NSWA1A1C access to twelve potentiometers and twelve jumper switches. The boards communicate by way of a ribbon cable which plugs into a vertical male pin connector (218A4807P4) placed near the center of the board. The DS3800NSWA1A1C also has a 218A4653-1A/mp 102041-1 connector. This PCB mating connector populates the left edge.
The DS3800NSWA1A1C is built with twelve circuits. Many of these circuits are octal buffers or quad differential comparators.
The DS3800NSWA1A1C has been alignment marked on one edge and has the codes 6BA02 and 6DA02 added to one edge. Extractor pins are inserted in both right-hand corners.
Tech support for the DS3800NSWA1A1C, including all publications like manuals and datasheets, was provided by GE.
