About the DS3800NSWB
The DS3800NSWB is a board component within General Electric’s Mark IV turbine control system.
The DS3800NSWB functions as an SW’3 Comparator. Comparators are designed to compare voltages by accepting analog signals through inputs, then producing binary outputs. These boards are typically trimmed to provide superior switching times. Such trimming can be at the expense of frequency-response accuracy.
The DS3800NSWB is designed with multiple LED indicators along one edge. This includes ten red LED indicators and a separate yellow indicator. Each of these indicators is individually labeled. Between these indicators, the board is populated with TP test points. Test points are typically used during manufacture and may not be needed for your particular application.
The rear edge of the board is populated by a single backplane connector. This connector allows the board to “plug in” to the rack system and easily communicate with other components. Additionally, the board has a vertical pin connector that is used to establish communication with an optional daughterboard that includes multiple potentiometers, jumper switches, and pin connectors.
Other components on the DS3800NSWB include resistor network arrays, capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits, and transistors. Most components will carry either a reference designation or will be marked with another GE identifier.
AX Control typically ships in-stock products within hours of your order placement. Use your original manuals or user guides from General Electric for specific guidance on installation or handling. Please read all warnings and hazards associated with this equipment before unboxing your new component. This is for your safety and to ensure the longevity of your purchase.
