Product Description

The DS3800NSWB1B1B is part of General Electric’s Mark IV Speedtronic gas and steam turbine control system.   The MKIV has a triple modular redundant architecture that will switch control of logic signals to the remaining two processors if one processor is unavailable for any reason.   This kind of designated voting allows the unit to remain online and working in more situations than earlier versions of the Speedtronic system. 

The DS3800NSWB1B1B is a Comparator board.  Comparators are used to compare voltages via incoming analog signals and using them to create an outgoing binary signal.   Boards like this one typically have superior switching time due to specific trim settings.
