About the DS3800NTBH
The DS3800NTBH is a PCB created by GE for their Mark IV Speedtronic series. The MKIV is a dedicated control system for gas and steam turbine management with improved application flexibility over previous systems (MKI and MKII,) and increased reliability with a lowered turbine outage rate. The MKIV can manage startup, speed, temperature, power supply, GT protection, control sequencing as well as turbine shutdown.
The DS3800NTBH functions as a termination board. Termination boards are created to terminate and join wires together without soldering. They are helpful and useful for wire interfacing and termination. They can also be used to make connections to small components.
The DS3800NTBH does not have many components located on the board. It is printed with a waffle-pattern on its top layer; all through-mounted components avoid this layer. DIN rails are mounted to the board via screw mountings created at the left and right edges of the board, and supported by screw mountings added in the middle of the board.
The DS3800NTBH itself has five components. This includes two screw terminal adapters which sit parallel to each other on the board. Both have seventeen positions. The adapter on the right side of the board is marked “TBA,” and is numbered one through seventeen from top to bottom. The adapter on the left side of the board is marked “TBB” and is numbered one through seventeen from bottom to top. There are also three vertical male pin mating connectors for communicating with other PCBs. These are placed between the two terminal adapters at the top of the board. Each is individually marked.
The DS3800NTBH is marked with the codes 6BA01 and 6DA01. It is drilled at each corner and alignment marked. All technical support for this component was provided by General Electric.
