Product Description
The DS3800NTCF1C1C is a PCB created by GE for the Mark IV Speedtronic series, which is a gas/steam turbine management system.
The DS3800NTCF1C1C is designed as a thermocouple condition card. The MKIV uses thirteen of these cards to maintain temperature control of the turbine system. Thermocouple cards read the real exhaust temperature and then compute the difference between that reading and a pre-set reference exhaust temperature set point. The difference between these two values becomes the command signal to manage exhaust temperature. Corrupt data from any of the thirteen cards may lead to poor statistical input that can then lead to combustor or engine issues. It is imperative for the health of the system these cards are maintained in good working order.
The DS3800NTCF1C1C has five jumper switches, one resistor network and four potentiometers. Resistor network arrays and potentiometers may both be used as voltage dividers.
The DS3800NTCF1C1C is alignment marked and factory drilled. It has been imprinted with the codes 6DA00 and 6BA00. Nylon extractor/inserter clips have been placed in each right corner. These are used by technicians both as lever points and as handles.
The DS3800NTCF1C1C has two PCB connectors (218A4637-P4 and 218A4553-1 Amp 533002-1.) The board is built with two lines of TP test points--one line of three and one line of four. Both metal film and carbon composite resistors are used. Capacitors are polyester film, ceramic, and other material.
The DS3800NTCF1C1C has eight circuits. This includes hex inverting gates with a supply voltage of 7V, and three-state output octal buffers and line drivers.
All tech support for the DS3800NTCF1C1C (including datasheets and manuals) was originally the responsibility of GE.
