Product Description

The DS3800NTSA1B1A from General Electric is a Mark IV printed circuit board replacement part.  This system was designed by General Electric for the management of gas and steam turbine industrial systems.  It was a significant upgrade from earlier Mark I and Mark II Speedtronic systems due to the introduction of microprocessor control, as well as a new architecture called TMR (triple modular redundant) that allowed three different controllers to vote on all outputs.   This improved flexibility combined with an enhanced operator interface significantly improved the reliability of the system.  Meanwhile, the modular design and basic operator panel maintained costs to reasonable levels. 

The DS3800NTSA1B1A works as a scanner board.  The board uses alignment marks along its edges to help with installation.  It is factory drilled for simple installation.   The board also has two extractor clips pre-installed into the leading edge that will help with both installation and when the board needs to be removed from its location.  

Components on the DS3800NTSA1B1A include potentiometers, a jumper switch, transistors, metal film and carbon composite resistors, capacitors of various materials, and nine integrated circuits.   The board also has multiple CP Clare mercury wetted contact relays.  The relays are bisected by a board stiffener that will help remove or at least reduce any flex in the board.
