About the DS3800NUVA
The DS3800NUVA is a UV relay card made by General Electric as a part of the Speedtronic (Mark IV) turbine series. The DS3800NUVA connects to surrounding circuit boards with a female terminal port on one edge of the board and a male terminal port on the other edge. The DS3800NUVA also has two clips and a few places to put screws to secure the board into place. The DS3800NUVA has one hundred and thirty-five resistors of various sizes and colors. A resistor restricts the energy flow around the board. A resistor can be identified by the colored bands around the outside of the resistor. Resistors can have up to five different colored rings, these rings have a corresponding code to identify how much energy the resistor can restrict. The DS3800NUVA has nineteen green bead like diodes, three brown diodes, eight teal diodes, nine large light blue diodes, and six small light blue diodes. Diodes only allow energy to flow in one direction through them. The DS3800NUVA has ten red LEDs. An LED is a diode that lights up as energy flows through it. The DS3800NUVA has four large yellow capacitors, three small yellow capacitors, two small silver capacitors, two large silver capacitors, a red circular capacitor, and a large black capacitor. Capacitors are used to store extra energy in an electrical field. The DS3800NUVA has four crystal oscillators which create a precise frequency. The DS3800NUVA has sixteen integrated circuits which hold all the programming for the DS3800NUVA to operate properly. The DS3800NUVA has six small black transistors and one small circular silver transistor. The transistors amplify or switch electrical power and electronic signals.
