About the DS3800NVCD1C1C
The DS3800NVCD1C1C is one of several NVCD conditioning cards for the Mark IV turbine control system available here at AX Control. The MKIV is only one of the many Speedtronic systems offered by General Electric since the 1960s for the management and control of industrial gas and steam turbine systems. It was the first that used three independent microprocessor-based controllers built into a triple-redundant architecture. This new kind of design significantly helped to reduce downtime in associated turbine systems while also increasing reliability by allowing one controller to suffer a fault without affecting the overall turbine system. The MKIV and its replacement parts are no longer supported by GE. However, AX Control maintains a large inventory of these components so we can quickly serve the needs of our customers. Look at our other available Mark IV DS3800NVCD boards if this isn't the exact one you need.
The DS3800NVCD1C1C board does not include any sort of user-configurable hardware. It does not include a faceplate but does include extractor clips and a connector for inserting a ribbon connector. Be careful when connecting this that you do not damage the individual wires on the ribbon. Extractor clips will offer a place to hold the board during installation as well as a lever point when you have to remove the board from the rack.
The components on this board like ICs, resistors, diodes, and capacitors use through-hole mounting. Two larger transistors mounted in heat sinks are screwed onto the board and use surface wiring. Use documentation like GE manuals, data sheets, and user guides for a more thorough introduction to this board.
