About the DS3800NVIA1C1D
The DS3800NVIA1C1D circuit board is used within the GE Mark IV turbine control system as a regulator card. This Speedtronic system was one of the first from GE to use microprocessors. It was also the very first in the Speedtronic line to use multiple controller inputs voting to decide on the outputs (TMR, or triple modular redundant, architecture). Most of the older Speedtronic systems have been placed into legacy status by the OEM for many years. However, AX Control continues to maintain a large number of replacement stock for these systems so we can quickly provide you with parts when you most need them. Please be sure to double-check the part number you are purchasing against your current part number, as we often have multiple iterations of components available.
The DS3800NVIA1C1D board is designed to plug into a Mark IV rack system via its backplane connector. This is located on the left side of the board. The opposite short edge is populated by components that need to be available to the user after installation. This includes five LEDs (one yellow, four red), three toggle switches, and six TP test points. This edge also includes two extractor clips installed into pre-drilled holes.
The DS3800NVIA1C1D board is populated by a number of integrated circuits that each carry their own manufacturer code on their top surface. The board also has transistors, resistors, connectors, and diodes, as well as stand-off pins that will allow the user to install an auxiliary board if it is necessary.
