About the DS3800XAIA1A1A
The DS3800XAIA1A1A was made by GE (General Electric) to be a part of Speedtronic Mark IV (MKIV) system. The Mark IV system is a part of the Mark series which is responsible for managing the operations of gas and steam turbine systems. The Mark series also protects a turbine system from any damage that may occur from operating under conditions which aren’t safe.
The DS3800XAIA1A1A is a type of printed circuit board (PCB). This board contains many different components. Eleven (11) large components are located on one edge of the DS3800XAIA1A1A. Seven of these are made up of black plastic. The other four (4) are made of grey metal. Each of these large components is labeled with the initials ATB. Along the opposite edge of the DS3800XAIA1A1A there eleven (11) connector ports. These connector ports are small and black in color. They each have twenty (20) male connector pins. Situated next to every one of these ports is a test point. These test points are metal and each is labeled with the initials TP, from TP1 to TP13. There are two (2) additional connector ports running perpendicular to these on the next edge. A series of nineteen (19) jumper pins are arranged on the same edge. Also featured on the DS3800XA1A1A1A is a jumper which may be used to connect adjacent pins. This will alter the settings of the DS3800XAIA1A1A. Much of the remainder of the DS3800XAIA1A1A is covered with very small resistors, diodes, and capacitors. These components may be solid or banded in different colored stripes.
