About the DS3800XCIA1A1A
The DS3800XCIA1A1A, from General Electric, is a Mark IV turbine control replacement board. The Mark IV system was designed to offer both management and control options for industrial steam and gas turbine systems. It was built with three input and output voting online using software constants and software ladder diagrams. The system offered continuous start-up acceleration monitoring, three coil servo valves with exhaust thermocouples, relay output dual LVDT, and microprocessor control.
The DS3800XCIA1A1A board has only a few components mounted to its surface. These include three terminal blocks that each has many screw ports located on their surface for attaching wiring. Each of the terminal blocks is parallel to each other and to the top and bottom (long) board edges. Perpendicular to these components is a metal rail. This rail is parallel to the short board edge and is flanked at each of its sides by many vertical pins. Other board components include a single covered jack and two uncovered jack ports.
Mounting the board typically occurs via the drilled holes located along the top and bottom board edges. The board is also marked with the board ID number (DS2800XCIA1A1A) and with the GE logo or a barcode.
