Product Description

The DS3800XCIB1B1B Communication circuit board from GE is used within the company’s Mark IV Speedtronic turbine control system.  The Mark IV is a microprocessor-integrated control system for electro-hydraulic control.  Microprocessors provide analog voltages for the servo valve driver while performing digital control calculations using turbine sensor input signals.   The system offers Overspeed protection, temperature control, overtemperature protection, and flame detection.   The Mark IV uses triple modular redundant control that increases reliability by protecting against random component failures. 

The DS3800XCIB1B1B is used as a communication board.  It does not have many components on its surface.  However, the board has been drilled several times along both its bottom and top edges to allow for mounting.  It is also drilled once at the very center of the board, between two screws.   Components are limited to two jack components located on the board’s right edge, three terminal strips, and a metal bar.  Two of the terminal strips are uncovered while the third has a cover.   The metal bar is placed at right angles to all three terminal strips and has multiple pin components on either side of it.  

The surface of the DS3800XCIB1B1B carries the board ID, reference codes (6BA02 and 6DA01),  reference letters for alignment, and the GE logo.
