About the DS3800XPEN1B1D
DS3800XPEN1B1D GE Mark IV Circuit Board
The DS3800XPEN1B1D is a board component (now discontinued by the manufacturer) by GE for use within the Mark IV system. The MKIV was a revolutionary design within the company’s Speedtronic series for gas and steam turbine control, as it was the first to offer triple modular redundant control on protection parameters and critical controls. This type of control system significantly improved the reliability of the MKIV over the previous MKII. MKIV components are available from AX Control as reconditioned and fully-tested board components.
The DS3800XPEN1B1D is a small circuit board with only a few individual parts mounted to its surface. The DS3800XPEN1B1D board itself is mounted to a sublayer carrier via two screw mounts. The board is drilled at multiple points along its short edges.
Board components on the DS3800XPEN1B1D include a vertical pin cable connector, a vertical pin header connector, and three stab-on connectors. The board also has a line of individual pins placed in the center of the board between two vertical poles. Additionally, the board has a single terminal strip with twelve screw connections taking up its bottom edge. There are two jumper switches, a single TP test point, and a variety of resistors, diodes, and capacitors, including a ceramic disk capacitor, smaller ceramic capacitors, and electrolytic axial capacitors.
More information about the board may be found through GE publications like data sheets, user guides, and manuals. GE was responsible for all tech support for the MKIV series, typically provided through publications sent with OEM purchases.
