About the DS3800XTFS
The DS3800XTFS is a circuit board from General Electric’s Mark IV Speedtronic line. The DS3800XTFS has three large glass fuses. The DS3800XTFS has seven black and silver diodes, six average orange diodes, and six light blue diodes. The DS3800XTFS has three raised orange LEDs, the LEDs are also referred to as light emitting diodes. These diodes light up as an energy current flows through them. The DS3800XTFS has two large grey rectangular resistors and three pale blue resistors. Resistors are used to restrict energy flow. The DS3800XTFS has three large yellow capacitors and four small yellow capacitors. The capacitors hold extra energy in an electrical field which can be used for later. The DS3800XTFS has two small red ports with two holes on one edge of the circuit board and one longer red port with five holes. These ports are used to connect with the surrounding circuit boards. There is a large black box on the DS3800XTFS which sits between the two red ports. The DS3800XTFS has one long edge labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and J. One of the shorter edges of DS3800XTFS is labeled one through ten. The part number (DS3800XTFS) is clearly printed on the circuit board. General Electric’s emblem is also printed on the circuit board. Each piece is labeled with a corresponding letter and number. Each piece is also outlined to show where on the circuit board it is placed.
