About the DS3810BFDA
The DS3810BFDA is a board component used within the Mark IV Speedtronic system. The MKIV was a significant advancement in Speedtronic turbine control systems, as it was the first of the many systems from General Electric that offered triple modular redundant architecture. The Speedtronic systems began in the late 1960s with the Mark I and have continued developing through the following decades into the 2000s.
This board is based upon a DS3800NPCC board but has extended capabilities. The DS3810BFDA is factory drilled at each corner, with a large hole and an offset smaller hole closer to the corner. The interior of the board is taken up by four large resistors mounted off the board’s surface. One end of the board has two metal oxide varistors. The board also has several wire jumpers that should be set before the board is installed within your system.
The DS3810BFDA is marked with the board ID and with the General Electric round logo. It also has several codes on its surface that will help with positioning and wiring the board properly. GE datasheets, product guides, and manuals will provide you with more information on these codes and how to position the board.
