About the DS3810EEPB
The DS3810EEPB is an upgraded DS3800 board component from General Electric. This printed circuit board (PCB) is designed for use within the Speedtronic management system from GE designated as the Mark IV. While Speedtronic systems have been used for controlling and managing industrial turbine systems since the late 1960s, the MKIV was the first to offer triple modular redundant architecture. It has integrated microprocessors working together to protect turbine systems from Overspeed, loss of flame, vibration, etc.
The DS3810EEPB is designed as a Universal Memory board. The board is marked along one edge to help with alignment. Factory-made mounting holes are located in each board corner, with two of these filled by inserted nylon extractor clips. These clips keep the board in place after installation but also help technicians pull the board from its installed position during maintenance or replacement.
The DS3810EEPB has a single toggle switch along one edge. Next to this is a red LED indicator. Other board components include multiple resistor network arrays, a backplane connector, and integrated circuits. In addition, the board has four small auxiliary boards mounted near its center. The boards connect to the primary unit using board-to-board pins. Each of these boards corresponds to jumper switches located along the edge of each auxiliary board. To ensure continuous service, make sure jumpers on your replacement board match those of the board you are replacing.
