About the DS3815PCLA1A1A
The DS3815PCLA1A1A is a Comm. Assembly made by GE for the Mark IV series. The MKIV is designed for gas or steam turbine control and replaces GE’s earlier Speedtronic series (MKI and MKII.) The Mark IV can manage the turbine’s power supply and control sequencing. It can take care of startup, shutdown, speed and temperature control, as well as turbine protection.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A has eighteen jumper switches located in several locations on the board. These jumpers allow for a certain amount of user-customization, as they allow the user to finish off circuits as they desire. J15 and J16 may be set to IN or OUT. J8 can be set to INT or EXT. Other jumpers may be set to zero or one.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A has over sixty integrated circuits. This includes buffers/line drivers, hex inverting gates, two-input positive-NAND Schmitt triggers, and 8-bit high-speed CMOS static RAM circuits with fast access times and low power standby/low power operation. These circuits are pin-out compatible with standard 16K EPROM/MASK ROM.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A is built with five resistor network arrays. Resistor networks are sometimes used for voltage division. The board has three LEDs, including one amber and two red. There are two TP test points, one labeled COM and the other labeled TST.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A can communicate with other PCBs via two Augat connectors and three PCB mating connectors. The PCB connectors are marked 218A4637P1 (two connectors) and 218A4553-1 (one connector.)
The DS3815PCLA1A1A is marked for alignment on one edge. It has been drilled at the factory for mounting. Nylon extractors are installed in two corners.
Tech support for the DS3815PCLA1A1A (including publications like data sheets and manuals) was provided by General Electric.
