About the DS3815PLNI
The DS3815PLNI is a PCB from GE created as a part for the Mark IV. The MKIV takes care of all aspects of management for gas and steam turbines, including controlling temperature startup, and speed, control sequencing, GT protection, power supply, and smooth shutdown. The MKIV has been created using distributed control built across multiple microcomputers that monitor the turbine’s performance across the twenty-four-hour cycle. The multiple backups on all critical controls and parameters improve reliability and decrease the turbine outage rate as compared to earlier Speedtronics systems.
The DS3815PLNI is primarily a board full of integrated circuits. It is composed of over two hundred integrated circuits. The board also has four resistor network arrays, eight TP test points and one amber LED.
The DS3815PLNI is drilled in all corners for mounting options. The board is marked on two edges (A through H, and one through ten,) for alignment purposes. The board is outfitted with extractor clips. These clips are specifically designed to help pull the board from a tight location by giving the technician a lever point to use to pull the board out of the frame. They also create a handle, thus protecting circuitry and components from rough handling.
The DS3815PLNI will be shipped from our warehouse to you in a protective, static reducing plastic covering. Ax Control suggests reviewing any OEM-provided instructions before attempting installation. Only qualified electrical personnel should install or maintain this equipment. Technical support for all MKIV components including the DS3815PLNI was originally provided by GE; this includes all end-user publications like manuals and data sheets. Manuals often include wiring guides and safety guidelines for Mark IV components.
