About the DS3820AIRA
The DS3820AIRA is an analog I/O module for General Electric’s Mark IV Speedtronic line. The DS3820AIRA has twenty-eight bright yellow capacitors, six large white capacitors, and twenty-six small red tower style capacitors. A capacitor stores excess energy in an electromagnetic field for later use. The DS3820AIRA has five large box boxes and one smaller black box. In between the black boxes are metal strips with screws. The strip to the far left has seventeen screws, the middle strip has twelve screws and the strip to the far right has seventeen screws. The DS3820AIRA has around sixty resistors. The resistors restrict energy flow throughout the board. The resistors can be identified by the multiple colored rings around them. Each ring corresponds with how much energy each resistor can restrict. The DS3820AIRA has forty-one tiny yellow didoes. The diodes control the energy flow across the circuit board by allowing the energy to only flow in one direction. The DS3820AIRA has three long male terminal ports with thirty-two metal prongs, seven short male terminal ports with ten metal prongs, and two medium length male terminal ports that have twenty metal prongs. These male terminal ports are used to connect the DS3820AIRA with surrounding circuit boards. Each section of the DS3820AIRA is labeled with the proper alphanumeric code for the part. The DS3820AIRA is printed with General Electric’s emblem and the part number. The DS3820AIRA also has a small metal edged frame with pre-drilled places for screws or anchors to secure the circuit board in place.
