About the DS3820ATMA
DS3820ATMA
The DS3820ATMA is a GE Mark IV Speedtronic component. The Mark IV system was designed specifically for gas and steam turbine control and was the first of the Speedtronic systems to offer a TMR (triple modular redundant) structure. This type of control structure, with three parallel systems offering multiple backups on all critical protection parameters and controls, significantly reduced downtime caused by an equipment failure. The DS3820ATMA is available from AX Control as a refurbished unit that has been thoroughly checked by our in-house technicians.
The DS3820ATMA consists of an external flat carrier with short sides on each edge and an internal circuit board. The circuit board is screw mounted to the back panel of the carrier using several screws threaded through factory-made drill holes. The carrier includes flanges that extend from its front and rear edges that have been drilled to allow for mounting. The unit’s id number and other information are notated on a panel located on the rear of the carrier.
The circuit board used in the DS3820ATMA includes multiple male vertical pin connectors. It also uses capacitors, resistors, diodes, and TP test points, along with other components. For a more detailed description of the board as well as information regarding proper use or installation of this component, please refer to user guides or manuals from GE. General Electric was responsible for all technical support for the Mark IV series and its components.
