About the DS3820C12AH21C
DS3820C12AH21C GE Speedtronic Current Isolator Board
The DS3820C12AH21C is a GE component created for use within the Mark IV system. The Mark IV, which was one of the first TMR (triple-modular-redundant) systems in the Speedtronic line, was one of the most popular of GE’s gas and steam turbine management systems. Many Mark IV components can be purchased from AX Control as new never-used liquidated surplus, or as a used part that has been reconditioned by our in-house technicians. Our technicians can also repair your current part.
The DS3820C12AH21C is designed with two major components. The exterior component is a metal casing/box. This box has mounting brackets to allow the current isolator box to be mounted to a flat surface. It is designed with a hinged front panel that swings open to reveal the interior workings of the unit. As noted on the front panel, this is a high voltage unit that should not be worked on when the drive is energized. Please follow all manufacturer safety and handling recommendations. Please see our separate listing for the Current Isolator box.
The internal portion of the DS3820C12AH21C is comprised of a DS3800NCIB board component. This is populated by multiple components, including three potentiometers, one terminal strip with screw mounts, two transistors, two vertical male pin connectors, and a stab-on connector marked “ground.” The board also has an Isolation amplifier and other integrated circuits, a ribbon connector, a quick-connect screw mount, and multiple resistors, capacitors, and diodes. Most components are marked with a reference designator. Data sheets, manuals, or other technical products from GE will provide additional information.
