About the DS3820CI2AD21C
DS3820CI2AD21C Mark IV GE Speedtronic Current Isolator Box
The DS3820CI2AD21C is a portion of the GE Mark IV Current Isolator module. The Mark IV was created by General Electric for the management of gas and steam turbines and was the first of the Speedtronic systems to offer TMR architecture. The DS3820CI2AD21C can be purchased from AX Control as a reconditioned unit that has been inspected by our in-house technicians.
The DS3820CI2AD21C is part of a Current Isolator Module. The job of this module is to switch incoming current from DC to AC. It is also used to provide isolation between the control side and line voltage side.
The DS3820CI2AD21C is the exterior portion of the DS3820CI2AD21C. It is a protective metal box with a hinged front panel opening to the left. The rear panel of this box is slightly larger than the front and includes two notches along its bottom edge to allow the unit to be easily mounted to a flat surface. The front panel of the box is marked with component identification information, including board number and the GE logo, and also includes a high voltage warning label. This panel is married with an internal DS3800NCIB board component to create a full module.
