About the DS3820HSMD
The DS3820HSMD is part of the Speedtronic Mark IV line from General Electric. A gas or steam turbine uses a large internal combustion engine to mix fuel and air to cause a contained explosion. This explosion creates a series of gases that are under a lot of pressure and force their way out of the engine causing the turbine to move at high speed generating a great deal of energy. The energy created by the moving turbine is then harnessed and used for a multitude of other purposes. The DS3820HSMD has nine large orange capacitors and one circular red capacitor. A capacitor is used to hold extra energy in electrical fields for the DS3820HSMD to use at a later time. The DS3820HSMD has eight diodes and around ten resistors. Diodes are used to direct energy in a single direction, the resistors are used to restrict energy flow around the circuit board. The DS3820HSMD has three male terminal connectors. One male terminal is a long white terminal with ten metal pins spaced out in pairs. The other white male terminal is much smaller with six metal pins. The final male terminal port is an enclosed black terminal with roughly twenty ports. These male terminal ports are used to connect the DS3820HSMD with surrounding boards. The DS3820HSMD also has four small transistors which amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power.
