About the DS3820LT4A
DS3820LT4A GE LoadTrak IV Module
The DS3820LT4A is a General Electric component used as part of the company’s Speedtronic Mark IV systems. Mark IV systems were designed by GE for the management of gas and steam turbine systems and were the first of the Speedtronic systems to offer triple modular redundant (TMR) control, which significantly reduced downtime caused by machine failure. MKIV components are no longer actively manufactured but are available from AX Control as reconditioned used or liquidated never-used surplus parts.
The DS3820LT4A is a Loadtrak IV controller module. This module is capable of integrating temperature and current sensing in order to provide superior motor protection. It is designed to provide user flexibility through its microprocessor technology. The unit includes a relay that allows for field setting of trip temperatures for the overcurrent units and RTDs. The unit allows the user to set their own trip parameters using motor data. Connections are made to two terminal strips located at the rear of the unit. These include alarm and trip outputs as well as power and grounding lines.
The front panel of the DS3820LT4A is designed with a front LED display, two LED indicators (IMOK and TRIP,) and five input buttons. These inputs are labeled DEC, INC, SCAN/ENTER, RESET, and SELECT. For a more detailed description of the DS3820LT4A, please refer to GE manuals GEA-10618 and GEH-5600. Data sheets and user guides may also provide useful information.
AX Control is located in Wake County, NC. We maintain a multi-million dollar inventory of obsolete industrial automation parts from GE, Fuji, Parker, Eurotherm, and many more.
