About the DS3820NOTA
The DS3820NOTA is a component for the Mark IV series from GE. The MKIV is designed for gas/steam turbine management and is built using integrated microcomputers that monitor the system around the clock to protect it from such issues as over speed, vibration, fire, and loss of flame. The MKIV is also able to automate some procedures like speed control, control sequencing, and startup and shutdown.
The DS3820NOTA is a modification of a DS3800 board. The modification, in this case, includes the original board being mounted into a housing that completely surrounds the PCB on all sides. The housing has four cutouts for screw mounts, and flanges that face inward toward the opening. There are an additional six holes drilled through the housing’s flange. The PCB is mounted to the housing via four screws that mount through factory drilled holes made in each of the board’s corners.
The original board is built with two Augat connectors, one vertical pin PCB connector, sixteen potentiometers, eleven integrated circuits, TP test points, and one terminal block with six single screw mounts. Terminal blocks allow more than one circuit to connect to another circuit. Capacitors on the board are polyester vinyl and other material. Resistors tend to be made of ceramic covered metal film.
The DS3820NOTA will be shipped to you from AX Control in a protective static reducing plastic covering. All technical support for this product was originally provided by GE; this includes data sheets and manuals. Series manuals often provide information on installation and may be an excellent resource for information.
