Product Description

The DS3820P1MB is an HMI interface created for the Mark IV series.  The MKIV is designed for steam or gas turbine management. It replaced GE’s earlier Speedtronic series, like the MKI and MKII with a more efficient, more reliable system using microprocessors and a more flexible user interface.

The DS3820P1MB is the control panel for the Mark IV system.  It fits around a computer display. The DS3820P1MB is painted matte black and connects to the frame using eight screw connections located around the edge of the panel.   The panel has a large cut-out in its upper left quadrant to allow for a computer display. The panel is labeled above this cut-out “Speedtronic Gas Turbine Control System.”

The DS3820P1MB has ten distinct areas on its front area.  They are as follows:

  • Emergency Stop Button.  Located in the bottom right of the panel, the emergency stop button is large and red.

  • Display Mode panel.  Outlined in white, all buttons and writing are in white.  Buttons in this area are labeled Normal, Alarm, Data, Scan Ctl, and Reset.

  • Execute button.  This is outlined in white.  The button is yellow.

  • Display keypad.  The area and buttons are in white.  The Alpha-numeric buttons are listed in black on the buttons.

  • Alarm panel.  Outlined in white, the buttons are labeled Silence and Alarm.

  • Printer panel.  Outlined in white, the buttons are labeled Copy and History.

  • Display Cursor.  Outlined in white, all buttons are white.  The directional arrows on each button are in black.

  • Display function buttons. Each button is outlined in white and black.  Each button (F0 through F5) is marked in black.

  • Auxiliary Display.  The panel is outlined in blue. Alpha-numeric pad (Function selector)  is in blue. Two small LED panels are labeled Function and Value. Section selection buttons (C/R/S/T) are all blue, each with its own red LED.  Below each of these is a corresponding “Selections running” LED.

  • Large yellow panel which includes:  Operation buttons with LEDs (OFF/CRANK/FIRE/AUTO/RPM,) Load buttons with LEDs (PRESET/BASE,) Master Control buttons with LEDs (START/STOP,) Fuel buttons with LEDs (DIST/MAX/GAS,) and IGV Temperature Control buttons with LEDs (OFF/ON.)
