About the DS3820PSFA
The DS3820PSFA is a component of the Mark IV series. Built on interconnected microprocessors, The MKIV was the third version of GE’s Speedtronic steam/gas turbine management system. This system independently and continuously monitors the turbine for problems like high pressure, over temperature, fire, and loss of flame, and uses the power of its interconnected systems to decide how to proceed. Automation of processes like start up, shutdown, control sequencing, and GT protection are also possible with the MKIV.
The DS3820PSFA is a modification of an earlier DS3800 PCB. In this case, the modification includes the addition of an L-shaped housing around the board and the addition of several components within that housing.
The DS3820PSFA is built to act as an adapter module. It includes three transformers that are placed 90 degrees from the board in the short part of the housing. It has two through hole-capacitors attached to the PCB. These are reinforced by collar clamps that also attach to the surface of the PCB. A larger switch attaches to the top of the housing and wires into the PCB directly via two wires. Most wiring on the board is handled by connections to headers. The board has two two-pin headers, a six pin header, and a four pin header. The board has one amber LED. It also has five wire wound resistors.
The housing on the DS3820PSFA is built with multiple flanges with several cutouts and screw mount holes. Tech support for the DS3820PSFA was provided by GE. This includes all data sheets and manuals.
AX Control will ship this part to you using a static reducing, protective plastic covering.
