About the DS3820PSFD1B
DS3820PSFD1B GE Mark IV Power Supply
The DS3820PSFD1B is a General Electric power supply designed for use within the Speedtronic Mark IV system. As part of the Speedtronic line, the MKIV was designed for the control of gas and steam turbine systems. It was the first of these systems to offer triple modular redundant control, which significantly reduced the amount of downtime caused by equipment/parts failure. The DS3820PSFD1B is available from AX Control as a never-used part from liquidated surplus or as a reconditioned unit that has been thoroughly tested by our in-house technicians.
The DS3820PSFD1B functions as an external power supply. It has multiple circuit boards and other components mounted internally or externally to a large metal housing with multiple openings. External circuit boards are screw mounted to the housing’s panels. These boards connect to internal components using surface wiring. Internal boards include components like potentiometers, capacitors, resistors, rectifiers, heat sinks, filters, transistors, plug connectors, and transformers. Most components are marked with reference designators and boards are marked with id numbers and other identifying codes. The metal housing has a bottom flange that increases the stability of the unit and allows for mounting via several factory-made drill holes.
For a more detailed description of the DS3820PSFD1B unit, including information regarding proper installation techniques and maintenance schedules, please refer to data sheets, user guides, or product manuals originally provided to users by General Electric. As the original equipment manufacturer, GE provided all technical support for this product and all the Mark IV line.
