DS3820PSLA1A GE Mark IV Power Supply Module

The DS3820PSLA1A is a Mark IV power supply module for the GE Speedtronic series.  Power supplies like the DS3820PSLA1A are designed to convert alternating (AC) power into usable DC (direct current) power so the system can be properly powered.  Power supplies can also condition outputs so they are free of issues like noise and spikes, and provide protection to downline components through fuses and other components.   The DS3820PSLA1A power module can be purchased from AX Control as a refurbished unit that has been reconditioned and tested by our company’s in-house technicians. 

The DS3820PSLA1A is built using an external metal case to protect internal circuit boards and components.  The case is designed as a vertical case with a right-hand arm.  The top of this case is open to allow for cooling of internal components.  The case is designed with smaller openings to allow cables access between internal and external parts.  

The DS3820PSLA1A has an externally mounted circuit board on one side.  This board is populated by two lines of four female plugs.  It also has two potentiometers and a transformer.  The external face at ninety degrees from this board is populated by two terminal strips and an on/off switch.    

Internal boards mounted in the DS3820PSLA1A are populated by connectors, transformers, potentiometers, diodes, resistors, transistors, capacitors, and heat sinks.  The interior also includes several other components not mounted to board surfaces.   For a complete description of the unit and for details on proper handling or installation, please refer to technical support publications like user guides or manuals from General Electric.
