About the DS3820PSLB
DS3820PSLB Mark IV Power Supply Module
The DS3820PSLB functions as a GE power supply module. This module is typically used within Speedtronic Mark IV systems and is designed to convert AC power into DC (direct current) power that is usable by the system’s internal components. Modules like the DS3820PSLB are also used to condition outputs in order to free them from noise and spikes and to provide downline protection to components via the power supply’s fuses and other voltage regulating parts. The DS3820PSLB is no longer manufactured by General Electric but can be provided by AX Control as a thoroughly reconditioned and tested model. Please check with our sales representatives for the availability of liquidated never-used surplus models, as we sometimes have these in stock, too.
The DS3820PSLB is constructed from an external casing with a primary tower and a right-angled armature. The unit has multiple internal circuit boards and components that are mounted (typically) using screw mounts to the sides of the casing or to other board components. The unit is open on more than one side to allow for air flow. Internal components include terminal strips, potentiometers, capacitors, resistors, heat sinks, and transformers. The unit uses surface wires with terminal loops or other connectors to allow communication between all parts of the unit.
The DS3820PSLB has a two-pole on/off switch and two terminal strips located on one external facing. These are located under a hinged external casing. An external circuit board is located in an open panel mounted to the side located ninety degrees to the side with the switch. This circuit board is populated by eight female plugs, a transformer, and two potentiometers.
