About the DS3820STBA
The DS3820STBA is part of General Electric’s Speedtronic Mark IV Turbine Series. The Turbine series controls a gas or steam turbine. A gas or steam turbine uses a large internal combustion engine to mix fuel and air to cause a contained explosion. This explosion creates a series of gases that are under a lot of pressure and force their way out of the engine causing the turbine to move at high speed generating a great deal of energy. The energy created by the moving turbine is then harnessed and used for a multitude of other purposes.
The DS3820STBA has six small blue male terminal ports. Each male terminal port has ten small metal pins that are used to attach the DS3820STBA to surrounding circuit boards. The DS3820STBA has over twenty average sized yellow capacitors. A capacitor is used to store energy in an electrical field for later use. The DS3820STBA has three large black boxes. In between the black boxes are two metal bridges with twelve flat head metal screws in each. The DS3820STBA has about six sets of Jumper ports, with their own plastic covers. A Jumper port and it’s covers allow the worker to change the energy flow but deciding which Jumper ports to cover and which to leave uncovered. The part number (DS3820STBA) is printed on the edge of the circuit board. General Electric’s company logo is printed on the circuit board along with where the circuit board was produced (U. S. A.). Each component on the DS3820STBA circuit board is clearly labeled with a number and letter.
