About the DS38600HUMB
DS38600HUMB Regulator Card GE Mark IV
The DS38600HUMB is a circuit board component fabricated by General Electric meant for use within the Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV was the first of these systems to offer TMR architecture with fault-tolerant control for gas and steam turbines. This type of control significantly improved the reliability of the system due to less downtime caused by part failure. MKIV boards can be purchased from AX Control as reconditioned, fully tested units.
The DS38600HUMB functions as a Regulator Card. This is a rectangular card fitted with a backplane connector on the left edge and extractor clips inserted in the factory drill holes on the board’s right edges. Extractors are used in two ways: during insertion of the board as handles to protect more delicate parts of the board, and during the extraction of the board as a pivot point to pull the board from a tight rack position. The board has several other factory made drill holes and is marked along its edge with lettering for alignment purposes.
Other board components on the DS38600HUMB include a red LED indicator next to a toggle switch, eleven resistor network arrays, a long line of jumper switches, EEPROMs and other integrated circuits, including oscillating chips, capacitors, resistors made from metal film, diodes, and three lines of board-to-board pin connectors. Reference designators are used to mark most components and the board carries several codes like 6BA01. For more details, refer to technical support products like datasheets or manuals.
