DS3860HAFA  Regulator Board 

The DS3860HAFA is a board component meant for use with the GE Mark IV Speedtronic system.   The Mark IV was the first Speedtronic system to offer three identical sections (R/S/T) to carry out diagnostics and allow for two out of three voting.   The MKIV can automatically take care of speed, temperature, sequencing, shutdown, and temperature control.  The DS3860HAFA is no longer manufactured at GE plants, but it can be purchased through AX Control as new-used liquidated stock or as a reconditioned, fully tested used unit. 

The DS3860HAFA is a type of Regulator board.  Designed with a backplane connector on one short edge and extractor clips on the opposite leading edge, this rectangular board is heavily populated by a variety of components, including two additional right-angled cable connectors (both male,)  TP test points,  resistor network arrays, jumper switches, potentiometers, transistors, diodes, resistors, and capacitors.  Capacitors are made from ceramic or electrolytic material.    The board also has over twenty-five integrated circuits.    Most components are marked with reference designators and may also be marked with other information such as their original manufacturer code.   The surface of the board carries the GE logo, codes like CESS and 6BA03, and the board ID number.
