About the DS3860HSCG
DS3860HSCG High-Level Isolation Input Card
The DS3860HSCG is a Mark IV board component. This circuit board was used as part of the GE Speedtronic system for gas/steam turbine control, the MKIV, which was the first of the Speedtronic line to offer multiple backups on all critical controls and protection parameters. This TMR (triple modular redundant) control architecture, significantly reduced downtime caused by hardware issues and significantly increased the run reliability of the control unit as compared to its predecessor, the MKII. No longer manufactured by GE, the DS3860HSCG can be purchased from AX Control as an optimized and reconditioned board that our in-house technicians have thoroughly inspected and tested before putting into active sales inventory.
The DS3860HSCG is a rectangular board with multiple drill holes. Two of these are populated with extractor clips that allow the board to be inserted into a frame and pulled from that position without possible damage to fragile components through handling. The board has markings along two edges using letters and/or numbers to allow for easy alignment. It is populated by neat rows of components that run from top to bottom. This includes a single long right-angled backplane connector, lines of polyester vinyl and ceramic capacitors interspersed with lines of metal film resistors, as well as three lines of transistors. The board has sixteen integrated circuits placed in two lines. Additionally, the board has a single right-angled cable connector located at the center of the right edge.
