About the DS4815CHGB
The DS4815CHGB is a component for GE’s Mark IV gas/steam turbine control system. This series is built on integrated microcomputers that continuously monitor the turbine system, using three identical systems to run all critical controls and protection parameters. The MKIV uses two-out-of-three voting to improve reliability and keep the turbine system up and running.
The DS4815CHGB is a modification built upon a DS3800HVDB printed circuit board. The board has two connectors designed for communicating with other PCBs. This includes one mating connector marked 218A4553-1 and one 5-pin right-angled connector. The board is also populated with an RF connector. This is a right-angle female connector made of brass.
The DS4815CHGB has thirteen jumper switches. Most of these jumpers can be set either to “T” or to “F,” but two of them may be set either to one or to two. The board has nylon extractor clips added to two corners. These clips help technicians by adding an alternate handle to the board, as well as giving them a lever point to push the PCB out of its position in the chassis frame, which is especially helpful when working space is limited.
The DS4815CHGB has fifty-five circuits. This includes hex inverters, octal buffers, and line drivers, Schmitt triggers, and 4-bit bidirectional universal shift registers. This last circuit has parallel inputs and outputs and typical power dissipation of 425 mW.
The DS4815CHGB will be shipped to you from the AX Control warehouse in a static-reducing covering. All technical support for this part was provided by GE. This includes publications like datasheets and manuals.
