About the DS200IIBDG1AFA
The DS200IIBDG1AFA model is an IIBD IGBT Gate Driver Board produced by General Electric as part of the Mark V DS200 series. The board will perform three primary functions. The three functions are protecting the gate drive for the power-insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), isolating incoming current feedback, and isolating the motor terminal voltage. There are circuits available in this model; six of them are optically isolated IGBT gate driver circuits, which will give one to each upper and lower IGBTs on the output phases. The other circuits available in this model are voltage, fault feedback, and current circuits for each of the output phases as well.
Each of the faults that have been reported for the phases will be reported through the terminals on the BDCPL connector; the terminals are /FLTA, /FLTB, and /FLTC. When the IGBT on the DS200IIBDG1AFA model has been commanded to turn on, the IIBD will annunciate the faults associated with the corresponding drive circuit onto the appropriate phase fault line. Two fault types can be generated by the DS200IIBDG1AFA model; they are undervoltage and desaturation faults. When a desaturation fault has been detected during the operation of this model, the associated gate drive module will remove the gate drive to the IGBT.
The best manual to use when installing and operating the DS200IIBDG1AFA board is the GEI-100180A IIBD IGBT Gate Driver Board Instruction Manual. It has information on the application data for the jumpers, LEDs, input/outputs, and more.
