The GE Key/LED/Display Board DS200KLDCG1A features 32 LEDs, twenty-one  4-character displays, and one jumper.  The GE Key/LED/Display Board DS200KLDCG1A also features one 40-pin connection strip on the rear of the board. Because the board is prone to damage during shipment due to the 32 LEDs and the 4-character displays, it is important to follow guidelines concerning inspecting and handling the board after you receive it.  The board is shipped in a cardboard box that is designed to guard the board from damage. Inspect the board when you first receive it.

If you find dents, rips, or holes in the cardboard you should be aware that the board might be damaged and might not function as you expect it to. This is also true if you find water stains on the cardboard. It might mean that water has seeped into the board and gotten the board wet.

The box is sealed with a security tape on the top cover. Only if the tape is in tact can you be sure that the box has not been tampered with. Make note if the tape is broken or has been lifted from the box and reinstalled on the box. After your inspection if you find that the box is in good condition, use a sharp blade to cut through the security tape. Open the lid and put aside all the warranty, customer support, and any other printed material that ships with the board. However, keep the material for future use.
