Product Description
General Electric’s DS200SHVIG1B is an SCR high voltage interface board. As a member of the Mark V board series, this card can be easily mounted into any number of GE brand drives. When installed, this board acts as an intermediary between incoming voltage signals and the power supplies of the drive. Signals can be communicated via this board from the power connect card (PCCA), the power supply, and the instrumentation card.
DS200SHVIG1B works to convert and transmit voltage signals that are fed to the board. Signals ranging from -500 to 500 mV are accepted by the card. These signals are then converted into differential frequencies ranging from 0 to 500 kHz. The drive’s power supply then receives these new frequencies from the card to respond accordingly. Configurability is a key feature of this board’s design. Featured on the card are seventeen configurable jumpers that add additional attenuation capabilities. These jumpers are protected with 10:1 current transformers. Users are alerted via the three onboard LED indicator lights should any of the filter fuses on board blow.
Following all proper installation parameters with this high voltage board ensures the card and its drive operate properly. Meeting all manufacturer provided installation instructions is imperative to promoting proper device function. Wiring DS200SHVIG1B correctly is important for drive operation. A complete wiring instruction manual is available in the board’s manual as well as its datasheet. Members of the Mark V series of optional and replacement boards were originally provided with technical support by the manufacturer, General Electric.
