Product Description
The General Electric DS200SLCCG1AAA board is a LAN (local area network) communication card. The card was developed as a member of the Mark V series of drive boards. Like most boards of the series, this card is suitable for installation in a number of drives and exciters across the GE brand. When installed in a drive cabinet, this card provides the host with the communications medium necessary for LAN networks. Specifically, this unit is a G1 version of the board which includes circuitries for both DLAN and ARCNET networks.
When installed, the DS200SLCCG1AAA card provides the drive with both isolated and nonisolated circuits. All major functions are performed by the LAN control processor (LCP) integrated on to the board. Program storage for the LCP is available in the two removable EPROM memory cartridges found on the card. On board features also include dual ported RAM. The RAM provides memory space for interfacing between the LCP and the externally connected drive control board. An attachable keypad completes the drive. This 16 key alphanumeric programmer provides users with access to onboard control systems and diagnostic information.
To protect the integrity of the device, AX Control ships all drive boards in protective static reducing plastic bags. Before beginning device installation, be sure to review all manufacturer provided installation and storage parameters. Installation should only be performed by trained users qualified to handle this card. A complete guide to wiring the DS200SLCCG1AAA communication board is available in the series manual and the device datasheet. General Electric originally provided this device with technical support.
