Product Description

Model DS200SLCCG3ADC is a local area network (LAN) communication board developed by General Electric to work alongside models within the Mark V series. Drives across the GE brand are equipped to have this card installed in its cabinet. When installed, the DS200SLCCG3ADC card provides the drive with the necessary space to process LAN communication signals. This DS200SLCCG3ADC LAN Communications Card is actually not the original version of the Mark V Lan Communications Card; that would be the DS200SLCCG3 model of printed circuit board missing this DS200SLCCG3ADC Card's three significant product revisions.

Hardware Tips and Specifications

As with any General Electric printed circuit board product, Mark V Series or otherwise, this DS200SLCCG3ADC LAN Communications Card makes use of a series of specific hardware inclusions and specifications to obtain its original series functionality. Signals sent to the DS200SLCCG3ADC board are filtered through the onboard LAN control processor (LCP). The board provides two EPROM removable memory cartridges for LCP program storage. The drive’s drive control board can interface with the LCP using the available dual-ported RAM. The DS200SLCCG3ADC card features both isolated and non-isolated circuits for communication signals, and is completed with an attachable alphanumeric keypad programmer; users can use this tool to easily access system settings and controls. When using the DS200SLCCG3ADC model, it can be used to communicate through Input/Output communications over several Mark V boards/drives. Some examples of potential communications are with Power Supply Interface Boards, such as IMCP, DCI, DCFB, and SDCI boards. For the remaining boards that the DS200SLCCG3ADC model can communicate with refer to Table 2 in the GEI-100162 manual, which is also attached above.

Items purchased from AX Control will be carefully shipped in a static-resistant plastic bag. Be sure to remove the board from this protective wrapping after reviewing any provided installation parameters. The only personnel permitted to handle this card are those qualified to handle and install them. Directions on wiring the DS200SLCCG3ADC board can be found in the device’s manual and datasheet.

Frequently Asked Questions about DS200SLCCG3ADC

How many pins are on the ARCPL communication card? What are some of their functions, and how does it work with the DS200SLCCG3ADC model?

The ARCPL communication card that connects to the DS200SLCCG3ADC model is used for Input/Output communications between the DLAN or ARCNET and the SLCC Card. There are eight pins on the card with individual nomenclatures and descriptions for each pin. Some nomenclature examples on the ARCPL card are P5, DCOM, TXB, and TX4; these nomenclatures are the last four pins on the card. The DCOM pin is number six and is the power digital common. Pin seven is designated by the TXB nomenclature, which has a description of being the transmitting signal selected by JP15 as one of the isolated DLAN circuit or RS-422 ports. For more information on the pins, their descriptions, and nomenclatures, refer to Table 5 of the GEI-100162 manual attached above.

What model type is the DS200SLCCG3ADC unit within the Mark V series?

The DS200SLCCG3ADC model is described as a Local Area Network (LAN) Communications Card. This unit is used for input-output communications with other models in the Mark V series, such as a Simple Drive Terminal Board or Drive Control Card.

Reviews For DS200SLCCG3ADC

Internal Review
(4.0)

The DS200SLCCG3ADC model does have an excellent corresponding manual, which is the GEI-100162 manual, but information specifically on the DS200DLCC model can be difficult to come by. While documentation is more limited than normal the DS200SLCCG3ADC model can be easily found on the market in new or used surplus. Before making a purchase decision on this DS200SLCCG3ADC printed circuit board product, it is crucial to understand that this General Electric PCB has three significant product revisions - AX Control Lead Technician
