Because the GE Relay Output Board DS200TCRAG1A is populated with multiple relays which are delicate and easily broken off the board, it is important that you follow guidelines for handling the board when it is shipped to you. The electromechanical components in the relays are subject to breakage during shipment if they are not handled with care. First, when you receive the shipping carton, examine it closely for sign of damage. Look for dents and rips in the cardboard. Also, look for evidence that liquid has leaked on the carton or that water puddled where the box was stacked. Also look for signs that the box was crushed under a stack of other boxes.
Before you proceed also examine the security tape that covers the carton. If the security tape is cut through or in any way tapered with, it good indication that the board has been tampered with. If the shipping carton is in good condition, use a sharp blade to cut through the security tape that secures the box. Open the lid and remove the packing material that surrounds the board. If there is written material inside the box, collect it and put it aside for future use. This written material will include warranty information, customer support instructions, and other flyers and instructions.
