The DS2020FEANRP050A is a GE Speedtronic Mark V 50 Amp Power supply. It was made as a part of GE’s turbine control systems. It is now a legacy series and may be difficult to find. AX Control does attempt to keep this part in stock as a refurbished or new surplus stock part.
The DS2020FEANRP050A is also called a Field Exciter. It is 600 volts, 50/60 Hz, and is single-phase. It has a DC output of 500 volts and 50 amps. It weighs roughly 56 lbs.
The DS2020FEANRP050A is in a long rectangular metallic chassis. There are two open sides that can allow the user access to the internal circuitry of the power supply. On the back of the chassis are four factory drilled mounting holes in each of the four corners. On the closed sides of the chassis are also factory drilled holes. On the bottom of the unit are two large cables that connect and screwed on to connectors. They are kept in place using two nuts.
There are many components that make up the actual circuit board of the DS2020FEANRP050A. There are four large electrolytic capacitors that are rated 660 VAC. They are identical. Next to the set on the left are fourteen black resistors, four blue resistors, twelve yellow capacitors, and thirteen grey diodes. There is a 10-pin male connector on the top left side of the card that is just above four white transformers. .
