DS215LRPAG1AZZ01A  GE Mark V Board EX2000

The DS215LRPAG1AZZ01A is a circuit board component manufactured by GE for use within the EX2000 excitation system.  The EX2000 is designed for use with synchronous generators manufactured by GE, typically running control systems like the Mark V.   It is a digitally controlled excitation system used to vary and control the output of the main generator using a software driven (microprocessor-based) voltage regulating system.   The MKV was a later version of GE’s popular Speedtronic line.   The DS215LRPAG1AZZ01A board and other MKV components are no longer actively manufactured by GE but can be found here at AX Control as refurbished, fully tested stock. 

The DS215LRPAG1AZZ01A  is a Line Module Protection board.  This board has four terminal strips located on its leading edge.  Each terminal connection on these strips is individually labeled on the board surface.   Other connectors include a vertical female connector and stab-on connectors. The board includes components like transformers, jumper switches, six heat sinks, potentiometers, and resistor network arrays.  The heat sinks typically have high-voltage transistors mounted to their surfaces.   The board also has LED indicators, a switch component, dozens of integrated circuits performing various board tasks, relays, and mounting eyelets.    Capacitors vary from large high-voltage electrolytic surface mounted units to small ceramic capacitors.  Resistors are typically made from metal film material.
