The GE Unit Controller 2000/VME Board DS215UCVAG3AC features one Ethernet connector, and multiple LED status indicators. The GE Unit Controller 2000/VME Board DS215UCVAG3AC is also populated with 2 blocks of configuration switches and a connector that enables the attachment to a hard disk drive. The front panel of the board is populated with 6 LEDs that give the operator a quick indication of the health of the board and also the Ethernet connection and other critical functions. You can also connect a keyboard, monitor, hard disk drive (HDD), and other devices. The rear of the board has connectors that enable the board to attach to the rack and enable the operator to control the drive. Power is also supplied to the board through the rear connectors and also provides a connection to the Ethernet network.
If the board is intermittently malfunctioning or is performing erratically, it is best practice to press the reset button, which is available on the front panel. The reset button forces the firmware and other instruction code to reload and provides an opportunity for the board to restart without shutting off the board or disconnecting power. If any problems were introduced to the code, the reload will provide a clean start.
If you suspect that the board is not performing as you expect, you can locate the 6 LEDs on the front panel. It the LEDs are lit green, it indicates that the functions monitored by the LEDs are functioning and there are no errors.
