About the IS200CABPG1ACA
The IS200CABPG1ACA is a GE Control Assembly Backplane for an Innovation Series Drive.
The IS200CABPG1ACA is also referred to as a CABP board. This board functions as a way for the boards that are plugged into it to interface and interact with external signals. Connections to other external interfaces are provided with this board. Some of these connections include power supply inputs, ISBus ports, diagnostic tools, front panel meters, and a front panel keypad. This board is typically installed onto the Innovation Series board rack. The rack has the ability to give installation points for the boards being plugged into the IS200CABPG1ACA.
The IS200CABPG1ACA is designed so that all of the non-board connections cannot accidentally be plugged into the wrong jack. The board connections on the board tend to use different types of connections, are individually keyed, or have the same pin assignments for that they can be interchanged without actually causing any damage to the boards. There are only certain boards that can be plugged into the CABP board. A BAIA board is assigned to slot 1. The DSPX board is assigned to slot 2. Slot 3 is taken up by ACL_ board or GBIA/PBIA mods. Slot 4 is assigned to a BIC_ board. A BPI_ or FOSA board is assigned to slot 5. The E1 and E2 stab-on connectors on this board go to GND. The E3 and E4 stab-on connectors go to CCOM. The J1-J12 connectors on this board are the external interface connections. The J13-J21 connectors are the actual card slots.
