About the IS200DAMEG1A
The IS200DAMEG1A is part of a series of models known as Gate Driver Amplifier/Interface Boards within the Mark VIe series manufactured by General Electric. This model was designed to control interfacing between power switching devices, which are known as IGBTs for low voltage drives; and the control rack of the Innovation Series. The DAME board is used to provide interfacing without any type of amplification and has no power inputs. This board is one of six different variations and has a drive power rating of sixty-five frames.
The IS200DAMEG1A board will be used with a drive that uses phase legs, this particular board will only have one board that can be used with all three phases. There is also a variety of different IGBTs that will be used per phase leg; this particular board only has one IGBT module that is used for all three phases. There are three connectors for input and output connection with the BPIA board; CPL for phase C marked as U, BPL for phase B marked as V, and APL for phase A marked as W.
There are six connectors on the IS200DAMEG1A board. Each pin has a different name as well as different descriptions, pin five is named _PCOM and is labeled as common, this common pin is the emitter of phases in the positive/upper IGBT model.
If this board requires replacement, either the IGBT or DAME board, will need to be replaced together as they are soldered together. Prior to removing or inserting the IS200DAMEG1A board please ensure that the power to the control has been turned off to prevent potential shock.
