Product Description
The IS200FOSBH1A is a PCB component made by GE for the Mark VI system. The MKVI was a gas/steam turbine management system released by GE under the Speedtronic name. The Speedtronic line has been around since the 1960s when the Mark I was originally released. The Mark VI was one of the last of the Speedtronic systems to be released by GE.
The IS200FOSBH1A is a Fiber-Optic Interface board. The board is used within the Innovation series drive as a distribution array board. The IS200FOSBH1A is designed to interface signals from the BICH and BPIH boards to bridge power devices. The IS200FOSBH1A takes gate driver status signals from the BICH/BPIH boards and multiplexes them on a per phase basis. Between these three boards (FOSB/BPIH/BICH) most signal processing, protective, gating, and feedback interface functions are provided for the DSPX Digital Signal Processor Control Board.
The IS200FOSBH1A is able to indicate bridge faults and can initiate soft-shutdown fault sequences when necessary. It has the ability to detect and signal missing or improperly connected cables.
The IS200FOSBH1A has two stab-on connectors, two TP test points, and six board (plug) connectors. The IS200FOSBH1A is built with 102 fiber-optic connectors that each pair with a light emitting diode indicator. The board is built without fuses or any other kind of adjustable hardware.
The IS200FOSBH1A receives input power from the GDPA High-frequency Power Supply board. The IS200FOSBH1A has a transformer and a 5V power supply.
Tech support for the IS200FOSBH1A was provided by GE. Handling precautions as recommended by the manufacturer should be followed when replacing or removing the board.
