About the IS200IGDMH1B
The IS200IGDMH1B is a board component for the Mark VI system. The MKVI is part of the Speedtronic line of gas/steam management systems that GE has had in development since the first Mark I was put into service in the late 1960s. The Mark VI includes a PC-based HMI (operator interface) that allows users to access most system data from a single location, including time tags for events and alarms.
The IS200IGDMH1B functions as IGBT Gate Driver board. This is a small rectangular board that does not have a faceplate. The board is connected to a sub-strata that consists of a moldable white material. The faceplate is marked with the GE logo and with the board ID number.
The IS200IGDMH1B is built with two transformers, over ten integrated circuits, resistors, resistor network arrays, capacitors, diodes, and multiple connectors of various types. This includes two vertical male two-pin connectors, marked J1 and J2, and a single pin connector marked J3. The board has two plastic components that are also connectors and several terminal connections. The board has several transistors. It also has an auxiliary board that is soldered to the primary board. The auxiliary board carries several additional components, including capacitors. This board is placed back-to-back with a heat sink component.
It is worth noting the IGDM board will usually be damaged if an IGBT module fails, and will need to be replaced. More information about this and instructions on steps that should be taken to remove and replace the IGDM board can be found in GE publication GEK-105490.
