Product Description

The IS200SAMBH1A is a PCB (printed circuit board) component manufactured by GE for the Mark VI and Mark VIe systems.  These systems were released by GE to improve the efficiency of their gas and steam turbines through reliable management.  They are both TMR (triple modular redundant) systems that offer multiple backups on critical controls and protection parameters.  

The IS200SAMBH1A is an Acoustic Monitoring terminal board.  The dual terminal board adds eighteen inputs to the Acoustic monitoring system via thirty-six terminals located on terminal strips that are for the attachment of two-wire inputs.  The board also has terminal strips with thirty-six terminal connections reserved for the addition of two-wire buffered outputs, eighteen outputs in all. These outputs typically monitor voltage signals.  The IS200SAMBH1A is populated with passive electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters to protect against externally sourced high-frequency noise.

The IS200SAMBH1A is designed with an attached metal frame that surrounds all four edges of the PCB.  This frame has multiple flanges, including a top hat flange placed along each long edge of the board that has been drilled with mounting notches or holes.  The board surface is marked with various codes, including FA/00. Board components and the previously mentioned frame are connected via standoffs and screw mounts.   The board measures 9.1 inches by 5.625 inches. Cooling is achieved through air convection.
