About the IS200VCMIH2C
The IS200VCMIH2C was manufactured and distributed by GE as part of their Mark VI line. The Mark VI was one of the last of the Speedtronic lines released by the company for the management and control of industrial turbine systems (steam/gas.)
The IS200VCMIH2C is a Triple Modular Redundant Communication Card. VCMI boards come in two versions: Simplex and TMR. Simplex cards have one IONet port mounted in the front faceplate while the TMR version has three. The IS200VCMIH2C has three IONet ports mounted in the front faceplate.
The IS200VCMIH2C is designed to install in the first slot of the VME rack. This kind of control module uses the P1 connector on the board’s rear edge to communicate data across the backplane and uses the P2 connector to communicate data between the IS200VCMIH2C board and 37-pin connectors that are located beneath the board (J3 and J4.) These have cables attached that run to terminal boards.
A failure of the VCMI board is equivalent to a failure of the control module in total. Please refer to manuals like the Mark VI Control System Guide Vol. I for additional information regarding proper installation procedures for the IS200VCMIH2C.
